The Black Death are hostile bosses that summons many other mobs to defend it, to spread plague and wreak havoc on any mob in its reach.
Behavior[]
The Black Death will avoid being near players and other entities. The Black Death does not attack players or entities directly but instead circles the target and will summon minions to attack for it.
Spawning[]
The Black Death spawns when a Plague Doctor is struck by lightning. Lightning strikes typically happen during thunderstorms, however, it is not the only way. Lighting strikes from a Neo-Ratlantean will also cause The Black Death to be spawned.
Alternatively you can right click a Plague Doctor with a Plague Tome, which can be traded from them for emeralds.
Summons[]
It is typical for the The Black Death to summon many mobs to defend it and to wreak havoc in its wake.
The most common summon and large mass of is the Plague Rat. Typically The Black Death will keep 15 plague Rats around at all times.
Plague Clouds are summoned when a target is not reachable or not killed by the plague rats in a timely fashion. At most there will be 4 summoned.
s are summoned as support and deals large amounts of damage.
